FAQ - Round 0
- Round Zero is a trial-run.
- Point System: 2.5k words = 1 point
- This means the minimum wc a finished project need to be is 2500 words. If you finish your project but it doesn’t reach that threshold, you can still sign it out, but it won’t count for points for the challenge. (It will however stay on the spreadsheet for extra Coolness™)
- Please only register projects you think can reach 2.5k words.
- There is no point or wc cap, but if you don’t finish your project in time, it won’t count for points. So yeah, you can write a 100k longfic (40 points!), but you won’t get any points for it if you don’t finish and sign it out before the end of the challenge round.
- OgFic & FanFic both allowed!
- You can have between 1-3 projects registered at once.
- If you’ve got 3 projects registered, you need to sign out a project (i.e. finish it or drop it) before you can register another one.
- Your registered projects do not need to start on zero words. Continuing an already begun WIP is fine. However, you will only get challenge points for the words you write during the challenge. So if you start on 2.5k words and finish on 10k words, that’s a challenge count of 7.5k words, which is 3 points not 4.
- There’ll be a public spreadsheet! To check you and your teams progress!
- Joining the challenge is a two-step process: you'll sign-up to the challenge [here], upon which you will receive an invitation to the comm and be sorted into a team. Then, you will register your projects for the challenge [here]. (Only members can access the project sign-in and out posts, and you can only become a member via invitation.)
